Going through there .... I ran Hyères!
worry, I have not made a trip of 950 km to go run ... 17!
No! I was traveling to another passion, the layout (more info on www.modeligaume.be ) for a weekend exhibition with 3 other fans in the city of Hyères les Palmiers . For the occasion, we agreed a week of adventure in the South.
And I do not go traveling without taking some precautions : Shoes, tights and t-shirt, subsistence survival! :-))
Upon returning from the exhibitor evening on Saturday night (actually Sunday morning already ...), rather we spend one last drink (if ...) drink in a bistro the port of Le Lavandou, where we stayed. Thence dragged by chance Saturday's paper, I absently leafing (no, not foggy ...!). And suddenly, my attention is attracted by a headline: " Downtown: attention is short ... ... 1st Urbantrail Hyères
... I look at the plan provided: it is close to Casino where our exposure occurs. Depart 9am. Bingo, I get there.
Some (small) hours of sleep, morning awakening, and go. I find myself half an hour later on Place Clemenceau, place of departure. Preparations are still underway, is a first for this team and this shambles a bit in a very friendly atmosphere.
Registration, certificate Med .. " Ah, thin, no certificate .. wait, I come from Belgium, I'm passing, I am a runner usual ... blah-blah-blah ... " Nothing will work, you need a certificate. But the medical service, very accommodating to me will solve this step quickly. Moreover, I will not be the only one, obviously, several other athletes also have organizational problems.
It's cool, but the sky is perfect blue and the sun peaks and begins to warm us. This time I'll be perfect incognito, and even the only Belgian among the 254 enrolled. Breakfast briefing ... warm ... and it left a few minutes late.
We perform a first loop of 3.3 km through some streets all jagged, narrow, up and down in quick succession, before charging back downtown in the same conditions. Successions of steep climbs and descents rapid crossings parks, hairpin turns, shot ... It's art, fun, I do not force, it goes all alone, I enjoy! Interspersed (as is my habit, now ...) many photo stops flash, even at full speed, on magnificent views! 
and follows a long climb gently sloping, mostly on a small road to the chapel Fenouillet, through the Mountain Paradise, the Chateau St-Bernard (it can not be invented!) and Noailles.
We then returned on our steps, but by trails MonoTracer much nicer, but more technical. And as I have my sneakers "road", I remain very vigilant "on reserve" hopping on the many rocks and boulders. 
And bam, sure enough, obviously, I hang a root and go on, and my whole lot about the gravel in a cloud of dust, just before a competitor that I had to double 50m earlier.
" Mr. ...! But it hurts! No big bobo, guys, okay, thank you! "
The forearms shredded, torn pantyhose and above the right knee and the front of the leg damaged red blood, I am recovering painfully road, hopping in a first step, then try to resume the rhythm that gradually comes back. There is about 4 km to finish and a good steep slope.
It'll take me a complete restart, then once in the old town, I forget the small pain and treats me in this maze of small alleys and other small odd runs to complete the square under the applause of an audience very friendly. 
Passage among firefighters for a small cleaning and disinfection of my wounds. And behind me the queue stretches of 4 or 5 other "victims". Souvenir photo and it remains for me to join my fellow designers who care for our stand a few streets below ...
And here's a great opportunity to make a run away from home, well organized (many volunteer marshals) and for a good cause, to help an association to fight against cystic fibrosis Stars Snow
