Since the start of the race takes place at 08h in the morning, I prefer to leave the day before and stay there, hosting since "user friendly" is proposed. I'm on the road with another Gaume, Fred Bernard. An hour 1 / 4 to reach Olne; collection of numbers, facilities do not pay mine, but the reception is very nice! Directorate our accommodation, the Chateau du Domaine Provincial Wégimont at few small miles away. Installations correct, with breakfast, for a very modest cost. Perfect! The first km is rather nice, first on the road, then small trails, paths, passages technical slippery with frost, a few steps, one or the other cap on narrow ( well done must go to if you wanted to live, na ... ), in short, a pleasant course and pace deliberately limited in order to "ensure".
Supply to 16 e I remove a layer, the peak sun and its rays began, timidly, to be felt. Still a few miles of beautiful roads, passing through the area of Our Lady of Banneux (small prayer from ...).
ravito After the 32 th km, it is "stuffed" a long and steep climb, 
some passages in the undergrowth, then the circuit becomes more rolling and less and less technical rather than trail marathon. Wide paths and endless, and paved roads and through villages, landscapes of little interest ... But why did they "specifically" that I had changed the route announced rather nice? While the region is full of things to do in beautiful golf "trail".
I grab some pain in the hips and lower back, but bearable. I slowed my pace, won Thierry and Fabrice gradually. J'accuse then a slump of 35 to 40 e e km. My 2 buddies take off. I find km longer and longer ... Supply of 45
e . After crossing the intersection, a hundred meters from ravito, I suddenly see a competitor out of a car, it's my friend Fred ... Who left an injury (foot contracture) and waiting to be repatriated. 2 words are exchanged, and I slowly rises until ravito. Hot tea (well. .. almost warm), nibble a bit, I sit on the edge of a trailer to relieve my back, and suddenly I can think of something I had not known until Now I no longer want to continue if the course remains the same style. Finally, I will not take the risk of being "dragged" for another 20 km on a course that gives me no pleasure!
I turn around, back down the coast, crosses JPP, " Hey, where are you, like that "? - "I give up "I said with a smile -" Are you crazy? .
Maybe .... I agree with just the car that would start with on board my friend Fred and another drop, Christophe LIBIN (also wounded). We agree on the issue of term " boring and annoying.
Back to square one, shower, meeting with top small hot meal, a beer and waiting ... (rather long ... it's always long when you wait) for the arrival of our countrymen, in order: Chris (22e - very good race), Fabrice (who has secured his first "long"), Thierry, and JPP calling us " large zeros," with a big smile!
